The Holy Mysteries (sacraments) of the Church are integral to the Orthodox Life in Christ. It is in and through the mysteries of the Church that we receive grace.  This grace of God is His very life, which is given to us freely and entirely because of His love for mankind.  Holy Baptism initiates us into this life; Confession and Holy Communion renews and sustains this life, and Holy Matrimony sanctifies our marriage and our family life.  As we depart this world, the Church accompanies us with the prayer of the funeral service.  We always remain a part of the Church- which is our life in Jesus Christ- a life that never ends.
